What is this ?

This diagnostic has been designed to help you reflect on your knowledge and application of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) in your teaching and assessment.

The purpose is to help you identify your current level of knowledge in relation to:

  1. Basic knowledge of GenAI and its implications in education
  2. Knowledge of GenAI and the University's position on its use
  3. Application of GenAI to support your teaching activities
  4. Application of GenAI to support students with their learning

To complete this self-assessment, you'll work through a selection of statements, assessing your own feelings of confidence in relation to each one. The statements relate to your confidence, not the effectiveness of GenAI. Once you've completed this, you'll receive a personal feedback report which includes links to relevant professional development resources and activities provided by the Centre for Learning and Teaching (CLT). Once you've reviewed your feedback, you can select the resources you'd like to look at, adding them into a personalised action plan to export to PDF. You can work through these in your own time, at your own pace.

About your diagnostic responses

Your responses will be reviewed for the purposes of enhancing the Diagnostic Tool and associated support and included within any reporting. No one person will be identifiable in this analysis.
